Win Reminders

Consistency is the biggest factor in getting value from Hype Doc. Win reminders nudge you at the right time so logging wins becomes a habit instead of an afterthought.

Open Settings in the Hype Doc app and scroll to the Win Reminders section. From there you can configure:

  • Enable/disable. Toggle reminders on or off at any time.
  • Frequency. Choose daily (every day) or weekly (pick a specific day of the week).
  • Day of week. When using weekly frequency, select which day you want to be reminded (Sunday through Saturday).
  • Time of day. Pick a time in 30-minute increments, from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM.
  • Timezone. Your timezone is auto-detected from your browser on first visit, but you can change it manually.
  • Channel. Choose how you want to be notified:
    • Email: a personalized email with a direct link to log a win.
    • Push: a push notification on your registered mobile device.
    • Both: receive both an email and a push notification.

Push notifications require at least one registered device. If you have not set up a device yet, the push and both options will be disabled.

Click Save reminder settings when you are done.

Reminders are checked every 15 minutes. When your scheduled time arrives, Hype Doc sends your notification within that 15-minute window. Each reminder is delivered at most once per day, so you will never receive duplicate notifications.

The content of your reminder adapts to context:

  • Time of day. Morning reminders encourage you to start the day strong. Afternoon reminders check in on your progress. Evening reminders prompt you to reflect before wrapping up.
  • Day of week. Monday reminders help you set the tone for the week. Friday reminders celebrate what you accomplished.
  • Your activity. If you have been logging wins consistently, the reminder acknowledges your streak. If it has been a quiet week, the reminder gently encourages you to get back on track.

Every reminder email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it disables your reminders immediately with no login required. You can re-enable reminders at any time from the Settings page.

  • Start with daily reminders. You can always switch to weekly once the habit sticks.
  • Pick a natural transition point. End of the workday or right after lunch are good times to pause and reflect.
  • Use push notifications if you are on the go. They make it easy to log a quick win from your phone without checking email.
  • Pair reminders with your existing routine. If you already do a daily standup or end-of-day review, set your reminder for that same time.
